Material Handler/Hi-Lo Forklift Operator

Responsible for the efficient movement and storage of finished goods. Responsible for loading product for customer orders.
1.Responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
2. Adheres to all work instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices and housekeeping procedures.
3.Utilizes approved work instructions for storage, transfer and loading of finished goods.
4.Loads/unloads shuttle trailers.
5.Maintain clean and orderly warehouse.
6.Responsible for the accuracy of all transactions and product scanning.
7.Documents all shipment, both inbound and outbound per work instructions.
8.Repairs damaged and non-conforming units promptly (rework).
9.Verifies the quality of the product sent outbound meets customer expectations.
10.Communicates with team members and other process teams as necessary to ensure process efficiency.
11.Identify and report the discovery of any non-conforming finished goods promptly.
12.Completes applicable routine forklift inspections and maintenance, including battery recharge, changing fuel tanks, and equipment lubrication.
13.Performs work in a safe manner, and is responsible for following all safety policies and procedures.
14.Responsible for working effectively with production associates, and other team members.
15.Has the authority to place product on hold.
16.Performs other duties as assigned.
17.Responsibilities and authorities as documented in the Quality Manual, Operational Procedures, HACCP Manual, Common Work Instructions and Site Work Instructions.
1.High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three month’s related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
2.Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
3.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
4.Ability to perform basic math calculations.
5.Must be able to operate a forklift.
