General Assistance Caseworker

Joliet Township Government is seeking a qualified caseworker for its General Assistance department. Responsibilities of this position includes collecting client information and maintaining case files with strict confidentiality. Assess client needs to determine eligibility for the Township assistance programs. Provides appropriate referrals to other available programs.
Two-years case management or crisis intervention experience in a social service agency. Requires ability to operate general office equipment and multiple-line phone system. Microsoft Office knowledge required. Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
